Famous Filipino American drag queen Manila Luzon gives a heartfelt, charming narration of this delightful rom-com. Rex takes his drag queen persona, Regina, online in order to use his popularity to save a karaoke bar--all the while keeping his drag life a secret from his father. As he becomes successful, he also is faced with the need to reveal who he is to the world in order to keep the love of his life. This performance is nothing short of amazing, and the authenticity of an actual drag queen narrating this bright story makes for an especially worthwhile listen. Luzon sounds crafty, whimsical, and genuine in his narration. He makes every moment in Rex's journey beautiful and lively, including small moments with his family and friends.

This audiobook follows Verbena Montrose, who enters a marriage of convenience to save her family, only to fall for the mysterious poet Flora, who secretly has another identity as William Forsyth. The story mixes romance, humor, and identity with a clever Regency twist. Ian Slater's narration stands out for his exceptional ability to distinguish voices, especially in his portrayals of Flora and William, with subtle yet clear changes in tone and cadence. Slater easily conveys emotions from quiet longing to playful banter, making each character feel unique and genuine. His pacing is natural and conversational, never rushed, allowing each scene to breathe. The performance adds depth, charm, and authenticity.

Joel Leslie, narrator of many of Sebastian’s earlier titles, brings his theatrical style to the author’s contemporary romance debut. After many seasons co-starring with hunky himbo Charlie Blake on a popular SF TV series, grumpy actor Simon Devereaux has decided to cut ties with the show. Fans have “shipped” Simon and Charlie’s characters for years, but Simon is shocked to discover that he and Charlie might actually have feelings for each other in real life. An unexpected invitation to go on a road trip together provides Simon a chance to prove he’s not leaving the show because he and Charlie don’t get along, and to find out if they do, in fact, have real sparks between them. Joel Leslie’s animated and bombastic narration style might throw some listeners, but his performance is full of heart and hilarity and is perfect for the banter between Simon and Charlie.
