Catriona Campbell juggles her responsibilities as a socialite, suffragist, writer, and her progressive father's only heir to a struggling estate in Scotland. Would it be proper for Catriona to pursue her father's new young colleague, Elias Khoury, and what will she do when she finds out he is on a secret mission to illegally return artifacts to his homeland in the Middle East? Jasicki does an excellent job delivering Middle Eastern accents without sounding offensive. She makes it easy to recognize the large cast during the frequent changes in point of view.

When he returns to England, he has to fight to gain guardianship of his younger brothers. In order to make himself seem more responsible, the Earl persuades Giselle Bernard, a Frenchwoman he knows, to pretend to be his fiancée. Crick skillfully flows between Giselle’s French accent and Heathbrook’s English one. When Heathbrook is visited by a friend from Scotland, Crick is equally adept at voicing his accent. Giselle has a no-nonsense quality, which Crick expresses well, along with the youthfulness of Heathbrook’s younger brothers.
