Evan, an orphan and trained killer, is back in this riveting thriller. While the author does a magnificent job with pacing and story development, he shines with dialogue. And Scott Brick is sensational. Anything Brick narrates is a sure bet, and he really is at his best here. Evan and his pal Tommy have a falling out and find themselves at odds with each other. Complicating their friend-foe relationship is a group of trained assassins who want Tommy dead. Meanwhile, a not-so-honorable family gets caught in the middle of the crosshairs, a situation that tests each man's moral code. Brick devotes attention to every voice, especially Tommy's, which is fantastic. His delivery of the tired, old ex-military gunrunner's quippy, twangy speech is remarkable. His accents and inflections boost the listening experience.

by C.J. Box ; read by David Chandler ‧ RELEASE DATE: N/A
C.J. Box writes about life in wild Wyoming, short stories of people living a rugged life by choice or by circumstance. David Chandler narrates in a rough-edged whiskey voice that suggests summer heat, bitter winters, and windswept prairies, guiding the listener through 10 adventures of men like Fish and Game Officer Joe Pickett. Chandler brings the listener into this strange world where, more often than not, men have to create their own justice. His performance of the economical stories, some rarely seen, is perfect. The tale of the frozen body of a Native American basketball player turned speed freak, her arm reaching through the ice of a lake in a final jump shot, is one of the most fascinating in the collection.

by Madeleine Henry ; read by Carly Robins ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 10, 2026
This suspenseful audiobook with an interesting but ultimately unbelievable premise should appeal to adrenaline junkies.
Carly Robins, with her pleasant, refined, all-American voice, narrates this raw and harrowing audiobook. A group of masked vigilantes known as "Nomen" is kidnapping up-and-coming celebrities and making them disappear. The group is fighting against the cult of celebrity and the country’s obsession with trendsetters. Fiona, a popular author, is among those targeted. Robins makes her sympathetic, and her perils frighten and compel. Fiona joins forces with another author, also a targeted celebrity, to rescue the glitterati who have been captured and bring the vindictive group to justice.
