Adventure is the tie that binds for these three friends. "From the depths of the seven sewers to the heights of Mount Ever-Rust," Horace, Morris, and Dolores go jaunting with gusto. When the Mega-Mice and Cheese Puffs clubs threaten to separate them, the strength of their friendship prevails. Jason Harris creates fine mouse personas, with just the right level of delight or despair as the friends separate, reunite, and attract new buddies. The musical accompaniment is light, and the sound effects bring depth to each of the scenes. The young listener will be pleased by this total package.

This is not a story about guns, but about blue pearls. Gerald Browne takes us to the Pacific Ocean and the world of pearl divers and natural gems and mixes in mystery, intrigue and suspense. Barry Bostwick portrays the characters in one voice, varying his intonation slightly for the Asian personalities. His reading style is very smooth, evidence of preparation and interest in the story. 18mm Blues is abridged well, collecting the important elements of the story. Unobtrusive music indicates the end of each side. Disappear into the mystery of the Far East and one of its most beautiful commodities.
