Drawing on an extensive background in divorce law, Sexton highlights for those still married how NOT to mess up their marriages and end up in his office. Sexton delivers stories, tips, and advice with lots of energy--and some frustration that well-meaning people can make such dumb mistakes. Listening is absorbing, slightly horrifying, and memorable: His images--comparing divorce to a knife fight in a closet--with the kids in there with you--are sobering. Sexton's narration debut is impressive. He reads smoothly, with animated conviction and passion for his subject that shine through. His liberal use of profanity is startling in some places--though not exactly gratuitous, as he sounds genuinely irritated when dropping f-bombs--but this may put off some listeners.

Rodrigo Garcia narrates his brief but powerful memoir about the passing of his parents. His father was the literary giant Gabriel García Márquez. His mother, Mercedes Barcha, was also a giant--of their family. Garcia narrates the events of the months leading up to their deaths with tactical precision that can come across as emotionless. However, his reservation allows listeners to focus on the words and feelings of his mother, brother, and the plethora of people who paid tribute to his father. Fans of García Márquez will want to listen, of course, but anyone who has lost a family member will also want to hear this audiobook.
