Ericksen adds dimension to her portrayals of the secondary characters, who range from the stuffy Somerset, Roarke's majordomo, to childish Bella, Dallas's friend's young daughter, and calm Dr. Mira, the department's psychologist. Ericksen's performance once again immerses the listener in the world of Eve Dallas.

The case takes Dallas to the secretive, power-hungry company that Chu worked for.
