In this audiobook, Kierse is forced to work with her brooding former ally, Graves, on a dangerous heist to recover a powerful artifact. As they navigate a monster- and magic-filled New York City, secrets from Kierse's past emerge, alliances are tested, and the line between enemy and lover blurs. Stephanie Németh-Parker delivers a skillful performance, vividly bringing each character to life. The story blends Celtic mythology, found family, and high-stakes adventure with emotional depth and a slow-burn romance. Németh-Parker's voices, accents, and moods are smooth and immersive. She captures Kierse's independence and vulnerability while giving Graves a dark, velvety charm that adds richness and atmosphere.

A gothic audiobook that deftly tugs listeners through myriad dark and romantic emotions.
A talented ensemble delivers this polyamorous horror audiobook set in 1850s London. After Agnes is hanged for witchcraft, Irene, voiced by Charlie Albers, uses forbidden necromancy to bring her lover back to life. But when Agnes, voiced by Ella Lynch, wakes, so does a new hunger for raw flesh. James Meunier portrays St. John, Irene’s undead husband and protector of generations of necromantic grimoires. In a story full of introspection, flashbacks, and the horrors of necromancy, each narrator sinks into their character’s raw emotions and conveys them with an intensity that will wrench listeners’ hearts.

Berman’s narration immerses listeners in this world.
Fred Berman brings to life the story of Luke Teivel, the son of Lucifer, who has been kicked out of hell and is now working as a detective for Infernal Affairs in Savannah, Georgia. Luke's new partner, Sorcha O’Malley, who can see ghosts, is coping with the murder of her twin sister. College students are being killed, and someone is trying to frame Luke for the murders. Berman ably handles a variety of creatures, from Luke’s hellhound mother to his imp companion, Helly, to the witches he interrogates. Berman gives Luke a deep, masculine voice that turns menacing when called for. He has a comedic touch when performing the demons Luke has imprisoned in his office wall.
