HISSY FIT

Moira Driscoll is a perfect fit for Keeley Murdock, a modern-day Southerner who throws a legendary hissy fit when her relationship with town playboy A.J. Jernigan dissolves the night before their wedding. Moira Driscoll's accent, while decidedly Southern, is not too thick to bury Keeley's sophistication, yet not so light that the small-town Georgia girl she once was is lost. Driscoll does equally well when portraying Will Mahoney, a solid Yankee-turned-plantation-owner who navigates the social mazes of Southern life, as well as his pack-a-day aging secretary. Driscoll takes Andrews's lovable characters, throws in enough vocal personality for each, and creates a story that can lift you out of your car and drop you onto Main Street in Madison, Georgia, for hours of fun and silliness.

      18mm BLUES

This is not a story about guns, but about blue pearls. Gerald Browne takes us to the Pacific Ocean and the world of pearl divers and natural gems and mixes in mystery, intrigue and suspense. Barry Bostwick portrays the characters in one voice, varying his intonation slightly for the Asian personalities. His reading style is very smooth, evidence of preparation and interest in the story. 18mm Blues is abridged well, collecting the important elements of the story. Unobtrusive music indicates the end of each side. Disappear into the mystery of the Far East and one of its most beautiful commodities.
