Schirner has the kind of voice and diction that makes listening easy. In Lynch's thriller about the search for a serial celebrity stalker who is terrorizing a champion ice dancer, there are a lot of twists in character and plot. As each leg of the story unravels, one begins to suspect almost every character of evil-doing--including the hero and heroine. Schirner's clear, distinctive phrasing makes one listen with anticipation. Even as he skates from character to character, there's a quality to Schirner's voice that keeps one attentive. For technical ability, Schirner's narration gets a 9.5. His artistic score is 10.

This is not a story about guns, but about blue pearls. Gerald Browne takes us to the Pacific Ocean and the world of pearl divers and natural gems and mixes in mystery, intrigue and suspense. Barry Bostwick portrays the characters in one voice, varying his intonation slightly for the Asian personalities. His reading style is very smooth, evidence of preparation and interest in the story. 18mm Blues is abridged well, collecting the important elements of the story. Unobtrusive music indicates the end of each side. Disappear into the mystery of the Far East and one of its most beautiful commodities.
