It's not until she stumbles across a magical school for the training of werewolves and brujas that she discovers the truth about her family's past and realizes that she's not alone at all. Madariaga's narration is soft and unassuming. Her cadence is sometimes a bit monotonous, but she masterfully voices the many Spanish words and phrases scattered throughout the audiobook. Hearing the Spanish spoken out loud creates a powerful sense of immersion, transporting listeners to a world of magic based on Argentine folklore.
