January LaVoy and Robert Petkoff narrate a historical drama full of magic. From a young age, Pamela Colman Smith has had the gift of seeing magic around her. Her skills eventually bring her to the attention of the Order of the Golden Dawn, a secret society based in London, and through them an exciting opportunity arises. Both narrators expertly balance the magical happenings that occur and the historical framework of real events and people. LaVoy and Petkoff excel at the many accents needed for the large cast of characters. Especially noteworthy is Petkoffs slight Irish accent for Bram Stoker and LaVoy's Jamaican patois for Pamela's nanny. Their narrative styles seamlessly blend to create harmonious and compelling listening.

Berman’s narration immerses listeners in this world.
Fred Berman brings to life the story of Luke Teivel, the son of Lucifer, who has been kicked out of hell and is now working as a detective for Infernal Affairs in Savannah, Georgia. Luke's new partner, Sorcha O’Malley, who can see ghosts, is coping with the murder of her twin sister. College students are being killed, and someone is trying to frame Luke for the murders. Berman ably handles a variety of creatures, from Luke’s hellhound mother to his imp companion, Helly, to the witches he interrogates. Berman gives Luke a deep, masculine voice that turns menacing when called for. He has a comedic touch when performing the demons Luke has imprisoned in his office wall.

Luke Daniels is a master of British Isles accents, effortlessly hopping from cockney to Scottish and from poshly modern to Shakespearian speech, all while dodging ghosts and demons in this dark urban fantasy mashup of medieval imagery, heavy metal rock and roll references, and layers of English cultural history. When a California headbanger leaves his favorite London club and is shot dead in a back alley, he awakens in a subterranean netherworld and is conscripted by an ancient alliance of necromancers to battle for the soul of London. Along the way, he is helped and hindered by all manner of wild characters, from a Roman legionnaire to the daughter of the underworld.
