Released: March 1, 2012

"If your child points to the cover and tells you the name of the dinosaur on the front, you may need to purchase this book. Otherwise, you can buy a dinosaur toy and a travel book and safely keep them separate. (Picture book. 3-7)"
Dinosaur-loving Middle-Eastern tourists may be a small demographic, but this book targets them perfectly. Read full book review >
DINOSAUR ON HANUKKAH by Diane Levin Rauchwerger
Released: Sept. 1, 2005

Dinosaur arrives at a young boy's home to celebrate Hanukkah, exchanges gifts, lights the menorah candles, plays the dreidel game and creates a messy scene filled with melted chocolate gelt (money) and latke batter on the walls and floor. Full double-page acrylic paintings of a Barney-looking stegosaurus complete with purple sweater, and his sincerely patient friend, who invites him back for weekly Shabbat celebrations, complement the slightly sing-song rhymed text: "He's back to play the dreidel game / Nun, gimmel, hey, and shin / But he pouts so when he loses / I just have to let him win / When Hanukkah is over, / I give his tail a tweak. / Don't wait a year to celebrate / Shabbat comes every week!" A silly, imaginative way to commemorate the holiday. (Picture book. 3-5)Read full book review >
