KIRKUS REVIEW

Flossily packaged department of utter nonsense (for a somewhat younger crowd) as Esther Averill writes and pictures another story of her famous feline brainchild Jenny Linsky (see The Cat Club, Jenny's Adopted Brothers etc.). There is a delightful time to be had too, in honor of the birthday as the feted Jenny steps primly forth, and rides with her friends in a red fire engine, to a party in the park with plenty of fish and a sailor's hornpipe. A real comedy of manners, the formal little commentary and expertly static pictures have an effortless high humor. Large type.
