GOLDFINGER by Ian Fleming

GOLDFINGER

KIRKUS REVIEW

James Bond, whom time doesn't quite mellow, is still a little more subdued than in his last appearance, but no slower as he faces a new opponent -- Goldfinger -- known to have twenty million pounds of gold bars cached, and suspected as a member of SMERSH- that organization which again threatens world conquest. He takes Goldfinger, as he catches him cheating at a card game- in a golf match, again frustrates him in his plan to empty Fort Knox. A fourth encounter puts Bond in Goldfinger's hands- aboard a plane- before the final fracas.... Superior, in this series, and a pretty dazzling display.
