KIRKUS REVIEW

Some of the illustrations, by the author, of the wretched Polly will bring horse laughs others squeals of sympathy, but all will call forth chuckles and delight. Polly's owner took fine care of his three prize horses, but to poor tired Polly, with only grass and hay to eat, and often left out in the rain, he gave not a thought, until a happy accident changes the course of Polly's life. Polly has all the mournful dignity of a Buster Keaton, and her story is a rollicking picnic of flying horse-feathers.
