KIRKUS REVIEW

A Christmas story of sher loveliness for any age. Anna, a little Hungarian girl, who has known the war for three years, wonders what the world will do without Christmas cakes, and dreams of a present of "one Christmas cake, shaped like a little clock". But there is no way of getting the ingredients. Anna finds her Anna Angel and it is the Anna Angel who makes the dreamed-of cake possible.
