KIRKUS REVIEW

Another showing of this pleasant Christmas story, first published in 1916. All about David, a "locked-out" fairy and tales of different lands from lonely people, who get together for a Christmas party, with the pervading theme that Christmas lies not in things but in good thoughts, and kind people. The beloved Maginel Wright Barney illustrations in full color have nostalgic value for those who knew the book a generation ago but may seem old-fashioned today.
