NEPTUNE by Seymour Simon

NEPTUNE

Age Range: 9 & up

KIRKUS REVIEW

In a companion to his other books about planets, Simon uses stunning pictures from Voyager 2 to accompany a straightforward description of Neptune's place in the solar system, its relation to Earth (although the drawing showing the two is out of scale), and the bizarre nature of its atmosphere, rings, and moons. The publisher's advised ``5 up'' is unlikely; the language here is more appropriate for older children, though younger children might enjoy the illustrations.~(Nonfiction. 9+)
