KIRKUS REVIEW

Three bicycling sheep pedal down a winding rural road, stopping at last on a grassy hill. They enjoy their echoes over a valley, eat lunch, pop their brown bags, gambol, and watch the sun descend. Johnston's rhymed prose has a repetitive structure, but a varied cadence prevents it from sounding singsong; Karas' woolly- headed sheep, rather formally dressed in baggy trousers and button- down shirts, travel companionably through an idyllic landscape. Pleasant, low-key, inexpensive, minor. (Picture book. 5-7)
