Daisy Edgar-Jones will star in Paramount’s film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, Variety reports.

Zevin’s bestselling novel, published in 2022 by Knopf, follows three college friends whose lives are transformed by the successful video games they create and the studio they form together. In a starred review, a critic for Kirkus said the book is “sure to enchant even those who have never played a video game in their lives, with instant cult status for those who have.”

Edgar-Jones, known for her roles in television series including War of the Worlds and Normal People and films such as Twisters and On Swift Horses, will play the character of Sadie Green in the adaptation.

The film will be directed by Siân Heder (Tallulah, CODA); she is writing the screenplay based on earlier drafts by Zevin and Mark Bomback (Total Recall, The Art of Racing in the Rain). Zevin will be an executive producer of the adaptation.

Zevin’s novels have been adapted for the screen before. Her 2007 novel,Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac, formed the basis for a 2010 film directed by Hans Canosa and starring Maki Horikita, Kenichi Matsuyama, Anton Yelchin, and Emma Roberts. Her 2014 novel, The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, was adapted into a movie directed by Canosa and starring Kunal Nayyar, Lucy Hale, and Christina Hendricks.
