Scarlett Johansson isn’t done with The Nanny Diaries.

The actor will serve as an executive producer on an upcoming television adaptation of Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus’ 2002 novel, more than 20 years after she starred in a film version of the book, Deadline reports.

McLaughlin and Kraus’ novel, published by St. Martin’s, follows a character named Nanny who takes a job providing childcare to a wealthy family in Manhattan. A critic for Kirkus called the book “sometimes farcical, largely sincere—and ultimately trivial.”

The novel became a No. 1 New York Times bestseller, and McLaughlin and Kraus published a sequel, Nanny Returns, in 2009. The Nanny Diaries was adapted into a 2007 film directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini; it starred Johansson, Laura Linney, Alicia Keys, and Chris Evans. The movie received mixed reviews from critics.

The series, which is being developed by Netflix, will be written by Amy Chozick (The Girls on the Bus) and Jenny Bicks (Men in Trees); the pair will also serve as showrunners.

Kraus shared news of the new adaptation on Instagram, writing, “BEYOND thrilled that the SMARTEST funniest women are giving Nanny a new life!!!”
