Paul Hecht's rich voice enchants the listener, capturing the nuances of the tale with the barest inflections until the human narrator disappears and the werewolf takes his place. Boyd's tale is enthralling, and Hecht's voice is mesmerizing as the themes flow and intertwine to create a story beyond imagination. The story pushes listeners to the edge of reality, willing their suspension of disbelief and haunting them even after its end.
