REACH FOR TOMORROW

KIRKUS REVIEW

A new collection of short stories range forward in time and view a changing universe; old worlds die- and new civilizations replace them. And there are many extraterrestrial excursions in strange ships. The earth is ruined and the "forgotten enemy"- the glacier- will repossess it; a flying saucer with its suspect passengers lands; a powerful lens reveals a race beneath the earth. And there are personal tragedies as well: Nelson, after the shock of a generator, is laterally inverted, Connolly is haunted by a parasitic presence which drives him to his death; etc., etc. An unsettling- but diverting form of divination.
