THE SANDS OF MARS by Arthur C. Clarke

THE SANDS OF MARS

KIRKUS REVIEW

SF novelization in which technicalities are subdued for story line so that even the uninitiated may comprehend. Martin Gibson, writer of interplanetary novels, travels on the maiden flight of the new passenger spaceship to Mars and has his literary views dusted off for alliance with the colonists on the planet, their domed cities and their fight to establish their rights to Earth's support. A mystery, a new sun, a Martian pet, romance -- all help the colonists. Not completely gossamer.
