KIRKUS REVIEW

Harold's purple crayon once again works magic in this story of his North Pole adventure. On a very white page Harold conjures up a snowman, Santa's house, his sleigh, his reindeer, a chimney, Santa, himself, and of course, a bag overflowing with Christmas gifts. He then draws his way back over the snowy paper to his home where he hurriedly contrives a Christmas tree and a great comfortable chair into which he slips to await Santa's visit. Harold's concentrated efficiency with the crayon is rewarded by a bountiful Christmas for him and a whimsical holiday treat for the young reader.
