KIRKUS REVIEW

A tough specimen, habituee of the wharf, Fish Head is a cat with an enviable personality. He does what he wants when he wants to. Rats are his main enemy, and in a mad chase he finds himself on a fishing smack, and after some difficult readjustments, finds a happy sea life for himself. But it takes a return to his own island to make him realize that the boat and its crew are his real home. Marc Simont's drawings interpret the tale in lively modern fashion. Medium type. Fairly firm stitching.
