KIRKUS REVIEW

Ashford, who must sit up nights thinking of new traps for the unwary (Loyal Disloyalty, above, etc.), pits Alan Ryan, whose car has evidently struck and killed old Gwen Yates, against Keith Tyler, the cousin of Ryan's wife, who borrowed Ryan's car but swears he wasn't involved--guaranteeing a waking nightmare for anyone unwise enough to lie on his behalf to the police.
