KIRKUS REVIEW

The son of the originator of the Babar books adds to the world of animals with a sequel to Serafina the Giraffe. We meet Hugo the kangaroo, Ernest the crocodile, Patrick the rabbit, Beryl the frog, and everyone has plenty of advice to give when the project of fixing up an old boat is launched. The foibles of people and their difficulties in achieving joint projects are reflected in the misadventures of the animal world. Nonsense with a bit more meaning than usual.
