KIRKUS REVIEW

Marcia Brown's picture spreads for the old Norwegian folk tale by P. C. Ashbjornsen and J. E. Moe, have an elan that makes rereading a unique experience. As the goats cross the bridge the troll gets more terrible and frightening until he explodes with the charge of the biggest billy goat gruff. Striking and colorful. Weak stitching.
