IN THE BEST FAMILIES

KIRKUS REVIEW

Quite a few surprises here for Nero Wolfe's followers, for they will find not only that Nero gives up in his battle against Mr. Zeck, but that he vanishes, even from Archie, moves his orchids and puts his house on the market; All because a Mrs. Rackham asks the mastermind to find out where her husband's money is coming from and the omniscient Zeck warns him off the case; Nero Wolfe finds a slim chance -- and licks Zeck to the death. Archie as a private detective, on his own, Wolfe in disguise -- this is no disappointment.
