KIRKUS REVIEW

From ``accusing'' and ``adjusting'' to ``zipping'' and ``zooming,'' hundreds of verbs organized, Richard Scarry-style, into scenes--home, school, street, farm, zoo, etc. The flavor is only mildly Japanese in the activities, more so in the faces (ironically, an occasional toothy grin would seem stereotypical if the art had originated in the US). The illustrations are not especially imaginative, but the many stylized figures are expressive. Unusually comprehensive, and likely to intrigue children with a fondness for words. (Picture book. 3-8)
