KIRKUS REVIEW

For the cult, another bright little picture book, based on the true story of a little girl who kept a bear cub as a pet. Adam, the bear, became a part of the Davenport family, attending tea and having the run of the house. Of course, as a bear, Adam indulged in behavior often startling to human -- awakening guests, frightening maids, etc., so he is finally banished to the zoo. Neat, pretty full-color Nineties pictures for a predictable Tudor market.
