Paramount has rounded out the main cast of its upcoming film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, Variety reports.
Sky Yang and Sean Kaufman have joined the cast of the film, and will star opposite Daisy Edgar-Jones, whose casting was announced in March.
Zevin’s massive bestseller, published in 2022 by Knopf, follows three friends who join forces to design a video game: Sadie Green, Sam Masur, and Marx Watanabe. In a starred review, a critic for Kirkus called the book “sure to enchant even those who have never played a video game in their lives, with instant cult status for those who have.”
The film adaptation is being directed by Siân Heder (CODA), who wrote the screenplay from earlier drafts by Zevin and Mark Bomback (The Art of Racing in the Rain). Heder’s next film, an adaptation of Judith Heumann’s Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist, is set for release in November.
Yang (Last Days, Whistle) will play Sam in the Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow film, while Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty, For All Mankind) will star as Marx. Edgar-Jones will be playing Sadie. Zevin will executive-produce.
