Jasmine Guillory and Carley Fortune are the new spokespeople for VOW for Girls’ Every Girl Deserves Happily Ever After campaign, People magazine reports.
VOW for Girls, a nonprofit group that seeks to end child marriage worldwide, was founded by Dutch activist Mabel van Oranje and former Ford Foundation president Darren Walker in 2018.
The group instituted the Every Girl Deserves Happily Ever After campaign in 2025. The initiative sought to raise funds for the organization by partnering with romance authors, booksellers, and publishers.
Guillory, the author of novels including The Wedding Date and Flirting Lessons, and Fortune, whose books include This Summer Will Be Different and Meet Me at the Lake, are among the 26 authors participating in this year’s campaign, which will incorporate a sweepstakes with weekly prizes, including a grand prize of a luxury getaway to Napa Valley.
“I have so much tenderness toward and respect for teenage girls,” Guillory told People. “I think nobody gives them enough credit. Just like with romance, I think everyone kind of looks down on teenage girls. For me, the core of a romance novel is having that agency. We want girls to be able to have that agency to be able to make these choices for themselves.”
The Every Girl Deserves Happily Ever After sweepstakes will run until April 17. Readers can donate and enter the sweepstakes here.
