Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg will tackle a sensitive health subject in her next book.
Dey Street announced it will publish the actor’s I’m Too Hot for This $#!+: The Naked Truth About Menopause next year. In the book, Dey Street says, McCarthy Wahlberg “gets (really, really) honest about what it’s like to be a woman going through menopause—an experience that affects half the population but is still too often treated as taboo.”
McCarthy Wahlberg began her career as a model before pivoting to acting, with roles on the sitcom Jenny and in films including Things To Do in Denver When You’re Dead, BASEketball, and Scream 3. She is currently a judge on the reality competition show The Masked Singer.
She is the author of several books, including Belly Laughs: The Naked Truth About Pregnancy and Childbirth; Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies, and True Romance; and Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic.
In I’m Too Hot for This $#!+, Dey Street says, McCarthy Wahlberg “pulls you in close, tells you you’re not alone in this sweaty, rage-filled journey, and gives you permission to laugh at the absurdity of it all.”
McCarthy Wahlberg announced the news of her book on Instagram, writing, “This book is the good, the bad, the sweaty, the sleepless, the ragey, the WTF-is-happening-to-my-body ugly of my menopause journey and everything I wish somebody had told me before I got here.”
I’m Too Hot for This $#!+ is slated for publication on Feb. 16, 2027.
