Dua Lipa will interview a series of authors at this year’s London Literature Festival, which she is curating, The Guardian reports.
The singer-songwriter, well-known for her love of books, will host conversations with Zadie Smith, Patti Smith, and Mustafa at the festival, which will be held at the Southbank Centre.
Lipa, known for singles including “New Rules,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Dance the Night,” has a popular book club, which has featured titles including Ocean Vuong’s On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, Tommy Orange’s There There, and Madeline Cash’s Lost Lambs. In June, she opened a library showcasing banned books in Porto, Portugal.
At least one book has played a prominent role in her social life. She and her now-husband Callum Turner initially bonded after they discovered they were both reading the same novel: Trust by Hernan Diaz.
Lipa will talk to Zadie Smith about her 2000 debut novel, White Teeth, on Oct. 24, and will discuss Bread of Angels with Patti Smith the following day. Lipa’s conversation with singer-songwriter Mustafa, about his poetry collection Nour, is scheduled for Oct. 24.
Other authors scheduled to appear at the festival include Ta-Nehisi Coates, Michael Lewis, V.E. Schwab, Hisham Matar, and—perhaps a thank-you gesture from Lipa—Hernan Diaz.
