John Cena wants to give you an attitude adjustment—and not the kind he’s known for in the wrestling ring.
The wrestler and actor is publishing two books filled with motivational quotes from his Twitter account, according to the Hollywood Reporter. One is meant for young readers, and the other for a general audience.
The children’s book, Do Your Best Every Day to Do Your Best Every Day, features illustrations by Susanna Harrison. Publisher Random House Books for Young Readers says the book is “aimed at elementary and middle schoolers, but fun and fitting for readers of any age.”
Ballantine, another Penguin Random House imprint, will publish Be a Work in Progress: And Other Things I’d Like to Tell My Younger Self. Illustrated by Valeria Petrone, the book “encourages readers to be bold, brave, and open-minded, to embrace discomfort, and to make the most of opportunities,” the publisher says.
Cena is one of the country’s most popular professional wrestlers, although in recent years he’s concentrated more on his acting career, starring in movies like Trainwreck and Bumblebee.
In a statement, Cena said, “Words of encouragement can help us stay motivated and focused on what’s really important, and I hope that both Do Your Best Every Day to Do Your Best Every Day and Be a Work in Progress will inspire kids and adults to be the best versions of themselves.”
Both of Cena’s books are slated for publication on April 6, 2021.
