KIRKUS REVIEW

The Cheech and Chong of the cat world are back. This time their adventures are chronicled in black-and-white comic strips as well as the familiar full-out color Guevara paintings. Chato and his homecat Novio Boy win a cruise from a box of cereal, but the cruise is full of dogs, so Chato and Novio Boy aren’t thrilled with the food or the festivities. But when all the dogs get sick from overindulgence, it’s the cats who bring help despite the temptation of a real cat cruise passed along the way. A glossary of Spanish words aids in the enjoyment of a just-silly-enough tale that still has sly lessons about being a friend, keeping your word and judging your fellows—even if they are dogs. (Picture book. 5-9)
