Four new actors have joined the cast of the series adaptation of Dan Brown’s The Secret of Secrets, Deadline reports.
The upcoming Netflix series is the latest adaptation of Brown’s novels featuring the character of Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor with a knack for uncovering vast global conspiracies.
The Secret of Secrets was published last year by Doubleday. It follows Langdon as he goes in search of his girlfriend, Katherine Solomon, a scientist who has gone missing in Prague. The Netflix series adaptation will star Morgan Spector (Homeland, The Gilded Age) as Langdon and Rebecca Hall (The Town, Christine) as Solomon.
The newly announced cast members include Corey Stoll (Midnight in Paris, Black Mass) as an ex-CIA agent and Cherry Jones (Succession, Five Days at Memorial) as a U.S. ambassador in Prague. Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw) will play an editor, while Abbey Lee (Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Tower) will portray a research assistant. The showrunner for the adaptation will be Carlton Cuse (Lost), who will also write and executive-produce.
Langdon was portrayed by Tom Hanks in the film adaptations of Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno, all directed by Ron Howard. A series based on The Lost Symbol, starring Ashley Zukerman as Langdon, ran for one season on Peacock.
