Jane Leeves will tell the story of her life and career in a memoir coming later this year.

William Morrow will publish the actor’s Daphne & Me: My Life on Frasier (And a Bit More), co-written with her daughter, Isabella Kathryn Coben, in the fall, the press announced in a news release. In the book, Morrow says, Leeves “tells her unique and intimate story of coming into her own on one of the most successful sitcoms ever made.”

A native of Essex, England, Leeves was a dancer on The Benny Hill Show and had roles in television series including Throb, Murphy Brown, and Seinfeld before being cast in Frasier in 1993. In the show, she played Daphne Moon, the endearingly eccentric physical therapist who takes care of Martin Crane, the gruff father of the series’ main character, psychiatrist Frasier Crane. She went on to star in the sitcom Hot in Cleveland and the drama series The Resident.

“For the millions who grew up with Frasier and the new generations discovering it now, Daphne & Me is a treasured look inside,” Morrow said in its news release. “The book also speaks to anyone drawn to the golden age of ’90s television, the era of Cheers, Friends, and Seinfeld, offering a rare, firsthand look behind the scenes of a show that helped define it.”

Daphne & Me is scheduled for publication on Oct. 20.
