Ted Danson will lend his voice to the audio edition of Adam Mansbach’s Go the Fuck to College, People magazine reports.

Mansbach’s book, illustrated by Owen Brozman, is the latest installment in a series that began in 2011 with Go the Fuck to Sleep, illustrated by Ricardo Cortés, a humorous picture book that features a narrator begging his child to slumber with rhyming, profane verse. The book became a runaway bestseller, as did its audiobook edition, narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. A kid-friendly version, Seriously, Just Go to Sleep, followed the next year.

Mansbach continued the series with You Have To Fucking Eat; Seriously, You Have To Eat; and Fuck, Now There Are Two of You, all illustrated by Brozman. Go the Fuck to College features the narrator offering advice to his college-aged child; a critic for Kirkus wrote, “Yet more laughs for overwhelmed parents—as they become empty nesters.”

Danson, the star of the series Cheers, Becker, and The Good Place, will narrate Go the Fuck to College. He said in a statement, “It’s laugh-out-loud funny—really, truly. It’s perfect for any graduating senior or their parents. But the truth is, it’s really you seniors who should go out and buy this for your parents, because it’ll help them get in touch with their emotions, which are very confusing for them in this moment. You’re fine. Your parents need help. Go get one. You won’t regret it."

Mansbach said, “I’m so honored to have Ted. I’ve been a fan of his since I was a kid, staying up past my bedtime to watch Cheers. There’s a select few actors whose voices you can just summon up anytime—that you can hear in your head on command. Ted is definitely on that list. And people are going to lose their minds when they hear his reading."

The print and audio editions of Go the Fuck to College are scheduled for release on May 5.
