Lily Gladstone is the latest actor to join the cast of Under the Bridge, the Hulu series adaptation of the late Rebecca Godfrey’s 2005 book, Deadline reports.

Godfrey’s nonfiction book tells the story of the 1997 murder of Reena Virk, a teenage girl in British Columbia. Eight teenagers were charged in Virk’s slaying near the Craigflower Bridge in Saanich, Canada. In a starred review, a critic for Kirkus called the book “a tour-de-force of true crime reportage.” Godfrey died last month at 54.

Gladstone, known for her work in series including Billions and Reservation Dogs, will play a police officer in the new series. She’s also set to star in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film adaptation of David Grann’s Killers of the Flower Moon.

Other cast members include Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road), Chloe Guidry (The Last Tycoon), Ezra Faroque Khan (Doctor Strange), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), Izzy G (AJ and the Queen), Javon Walton (Euphoria), Vritika Gupta (Cross Hollow), and Aiyana Goodfellow (The Outlaws).

The series is being written by screenwriter and actor Quinn Shephard (Not Okay) and directed by Geeta Vasant Patel (The Magicians, House of the Dragon). Samir Mehta (Fear the Walking Dead) and Liz Tigelaar (Little Fires Everywhere) are serving as showrunners for the series.
