Tamron Hall will tell the story of her life and career in a new memoir, People magazine reports.
Crown will publish the journalist and talk show host’s Bet on Yourself: Why Faith and Fierceness Are All You Need next year. It calls the book “a candid and deeply personal memoir that shares hard-earned lessons about faith, fierceness, and how you can transform life’s greatest challenges into unexpected opportunities.”
Hall began her career in journalism as a television news reporter in Bryan, Texas, before moving to stations in Fort Worth, Texas, and then Chicago. She joined MSNBC in 2007, and in 2014 she became a co-host of the Today show, where she stayed for almost three years. In 2019, she began hosting a syndicated talk show, Tamron Hall.
Hall’s previous books include the mystery novels As the Wicked Watch and Watch Where They Hide and a children’s book, Harlem Honey: The Adventures of a Curious Kid, illustrated by Ebony Glenn.
In her memoir, Crown says, Hall “draws on a lifetime of personal stories—from her childhood in Texas to early years in Chicago’s newsrooms, to heartbreak and fertility challenges, to growing Tamron Hall into the second longest-running solo syndicated talk show in ABC Disney history—as she reveals the lessons she’s learned along the way.”
Bet on Yourself is slated for publication on Jan. 26, 2027.
